As machines become more sophisticated and ubiquitous, the need to imbue them with a sense of ethics becomes imperative. This lecture explores the emerging field of machine ethics and addresses the challenges and opportunities it presents. We examine the ethical frameworks and approaches utilized to teach machines morality. In doing so, we delve into the fundamental questions surrounding ethical decision making, the role of humans in shaping machine behavior, and the importance of aligning machine values with societal values.​
